Recovery from spine or orthopedic surgery doesn't always go exactly as planned, and some patients continue to have pain after surgery that needs focused management. We work directly with referring orthopedic surgeons and neurosurgeons to manage this pain.
Pain following spine or orthopedic surgery can result from the normal healing process, hardware placement, nerve irritation, or symptoms that don't fully resolve after the procedure.
Failed back surgery syndrome refers to persistent back or leg pain following spine surgery, most often after a laminectomy or similar procedure, that didn't fully resolve the original symptoms, or that produced new ones. It doesn't necessarily mean the surgery was performed incorrectly — it describes an outcome that needs further evaluation and a focused pain management plan.
Complex regional pain syndrome is a condition involving prolonged, often severe pain, typically following an injury or surgery, that's disproportionate to the original injury itself. It most commonly affects an arm or leg, and benefits from early, focused evaluation and treatment.
Rib pain that persists well after a fracture has healed can be a source of ongoing discomfort, particularly with breathing, coughing, or certain movements. Targeted treatment can help manage this pain when it doesn't resolve on its own.
We're set up to see these patients promptly, communicate findings clearly, and manage ongoing pain so your patients get the follow-up care they need. Patients are typically offered same-day or next-day appointment availability.
Whether you're managing chronic pain, recovering from surgery, or exploring regenerative treatment options, our team is here to help.
